Hi Everyone, I’m Melissa
I have worked as a teacher of drama for over 15 years in schools as well as working professionally in theatre supporting a local domestic abuse charity in my community in Kent where I have lived for most of my life. I have always had roots in Cornwall though as my mother was born in Helston and most of the remainder of that side of the family live in Falmouth. My husband and I, together with our dogs moved to Cornwall in the Summer of 2018 and we began working on our house here so we could invite guests to stay or come for the day to enjoy the tranquility of our beautiful home on the West Coast of Cornwall.
Pilates has become a very important part of my life in the last few years and it has literally saved me from chronic pain after a horse-riding accident in which I broke 3 of my vertebrae. I trained with the Physical Mind Institute New York and was lucky to work with a fantastic teacher who has over 30 years’ experience.
What I love about Pilates is how inclusive it is … really and truly anyone can do it! Each and every level of the exercises can be modified to enable everyone to achieve and progress at their own level and feel the benefits after a few sessions.
I would love it if you would allow me to help you keep mobile, have fun and continue to help you progress or start your Pilates journey. Namiste
